This Foundation assist children and young people who are in situations of vulnerability, promoting their development and autonomy through welcoming them into protective family environments and strengthening their family, social, and community networks.
The goal is to work towards restoring the right of children to live in a family environment, especially those who, for various reasons, have lost the care of their families or are at risk of losing it.
The BCD employees have worked for the ‘’Family gardens’’. The children have been learning about:
1.- Building and maintaining the infrastructure to plant different vegetables;
2.- Learning about different plants;
3.- Using other resources to keep the gardens alive- they use the interactive area sponsored by BCD to learn how to maintain pests away from plants.
The goal is to encourage young people to work together, take an interest in nature, learn about healthy food and learn to keep taking care of the garden.
